Modern Slavery Policy

27/04/2022

GidiSync has taken the voluntary step to make this modern slavery statement relating to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We oppose slavery in all its forms and make this statement to set out the steps we have taken to stand against slavery and human trafficking in our business and with our partners and enterprise customer-base.

Modern slavery exists through the unliveable minimum wage, as the workers responsible for supplying entire industries are being forced to work twice as much without any hope of improvement for their financial status. As industries move towards more profits, those forced into modern slavery are barely surviving, if at all. The ramifications can be felt in every corner of the country, on every street where the formerly “working class” live.

To manage and diminish the risks of modern slavery in the implementation of the strategies we look to ensure that every staff member has a liveable wage, including those in every step of the supply chain. When we support those who work in production, we not only support people, we support an economy, where new citizens have discretionary income.

Our policy in action can tackle workforce inequality through the action of first identifying pay, skill, and employment inequality and then implementing directives that shift the cycle of keeping those disadvantaged or minority groups in their same class, position, and/or station. This can look like initiatives that support POC women and disabled persons by giving them access to new or further skill development.

Reducing the employment disability gap can happen through the representation and support of disabled people in the contract workforce. Helping disabled or different-abled workers learn new skills and qualifications that give them a respected and necessary place within the workforce. Our contract aims to influence staff, suppliers, consumers, and communities to get involved in supporting these individuals and seeing them as a benefit to their organization.

This contract offers a Social Value Policy that is far-reaching and widely aimed at several social issues facing our society today. Through this Social Value Policy, we’ll see a healthier environment, with more diverse workers and businesses within the supply chain, thus helping small businesses and new voices thrive.
